Cofounder and CEO of On Deck Society, a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation building the world’s first Consent-Based Connection Platform, starting with dating. More at OnDeckSociety.com.

ODS exists because the dominant model for digital connection, endless swiping, performative profiles, mutual-attraction theater, has failed at the only thing it was supposed to do. Real people meeting real people, with intent, in the real world.

Consent-based connection is the simple thesis underneath all of it. You opt in. The other person opts in. Nobody is being auctioned to anybody. We launched Love On Deck, the first Consent-Based Dating App, in the spring of 2026, and we are currently recruiting Lovers in the Phoenix Metro.

02 / Background

Story

I was born and raised on the Seacoast of New Hampshire and earned a B.A. in Film, Television, and Theatre from the University of Notre Dame. My dreams of becoming a cinematographer brought me to Hollywood, where I ran straight into the writer's strike of 2007 just a week after getting my first paid PA gig. After that I ended up homeless before returning home to NH to join the Army.

I spent 6.5 years as a paratrooper and chef in the 82nd Airborne Division and the US Army Special Operations Command, with deployments to Afghanistan and Niger.

After leaving the Army I became a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT 200) before moving to Irvine to get a JD/MBA at UCI. After law school I moved to Phoenix and worked for a variety of startups before cofounding On Deck Society, the world's first Consent-Based Connection Platform.

We launched Love On Deck, the first Consent-Based Dating App, in the spring of 2026, and are currently recruiting Lovers in the Phoenix Metro.

Art

I began oil painting in 2019 to help myself cope with my father’s stage 4 cancer diagnosis. It soon became the most prolific creative output of my life as hundreds of paintings poured out of me. After moving to Phoenix in 2020 I sold my first paintings and later got one of my paintings into my first exhibition. I am currently working on a few new exhibitions of my own and am looking for the best venues in Phoenix to showcase each of them.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide To Fear And Loathing

My first novel is a work of psychedelic fiction. The book is narrated by Janessa Fawkes as she and her husband await trial on federal drug charges. Her husband is Santa Fawkes, the bastard son of Santa Claus and fashion marketer Helen Fawkes. It’s a callback to the Greek myths where Zeus would come to Earth and sire demigods with a variety of women, except in this case the role of Zeus is played by Santa Claus. After leaving the Army, Santa Fawkes becomes a Netflix software engineer right as they pivot from DVDs to streaming, later picks up a PhD in chemistry, and ultimately gets recruited into the psychedelic underground, where he quietly becomes the most prolific maker of LSD and MDMA in the country. Manuscript completed January 2023. Currently in agent-querying phase.
